چکیده
Abstract Background Aortotracheal fistula (ATF) is an uncommon and fatal complication of tracheal or aortic surgery, especially among pediatric patients. Case presentation We reported a case in 1-year-old boy with dextrocardia, left pulmonary artery sling long segment stenosis. He received slide tracheoplasty at 9 months age had post-operative refractory granulation distal trachea status post repeated balloon dilatation laser vaporization. Episodes hemoptysis occurred on day 81. Bronchoscopy revealed pulsating pseudoaneurysm lower which ruptured during the procedure Urgent surgical repair under cardiopulmonary bypass deep hypothermic circulatory arrest was done. No recurrent bleeding significant neurologic deficits noticed 4-month follow-up. Conclusion Congenital anomaly that changes spatial relationship between aorta could have contributed to formation ATF. This warrant future attention when managing this not anatomy.

Management of pulmonary artery sling with tracheal stenosis: LPA re-implantation without tracheoplasty.
OBJECTIVES Pulmonary artery sling (PA sling) is frequently associated with tracheal and/or bronchial stenosis. Most PA sling patients receive left pulmonary artery (LPA) re-implantation and tracheoplasty under the cardiopulmonary bypass, but the postoperative complications of tracheoplasty remain a great challenge. In this study, we reviewed 14 PA sling children who received surgery in our hosp...

متن کاملComplicated Postoperative Course after Pulmonary Artery Sling Repair and Slide Tracheoplasty
Pulmonary artery sling (PAS) is a rare congenital condition in which the left pulmonary artery (LPA) arises from the right pulmonary artery, and then passes between the trachea and the esophagus to reach the left lung, thereby forming a sling around the airway. It is often associated with intrinsic tracheal stenosis due to complete cartilaginous rings. Therapeutic management nowadays consists o...
متن کاملSubclavian artery-esophageal fistula after placement of a self-expanding metal stent in a patient with esophagogastric anastomosis stenosis
Background: There have been reports on stent-related vascular erosions about patients with benign or malignant stenosis of the esophagus who received endoscopic stent insertion for palliative intention for oral intake. Case presentation: A 61-year-old woman with esophageal cancer located in the middle part of esophagus was treated with esophagectomy. Two years following the surgery, malignan...
متن کاملClinical outcomes of slide tracheoplasty in congenital tracheal stenosis.
OBJECTIVES Treatment of long-segment congenital tracheal stenosis (CTS) remains challenging. Recently, slide tracheoplasty has become the standard approach in many centres. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes of slide tracheoplasty. METHODS Between 2004 and 2011, 18 patients underwent slide tracheoplasty in our centre. The median patient age was 2.5 months (range, 18 d...
